Clouds everywhere

The morning sky looking southeast was full of puffy clouds tinged with gray.

More clouds to the northwest.

The desert and mountain areas to the east are under flash flood watches but not a drop of rain has fallen here.  It's just hot, muggy and uncomfortable.  A good time to check out garden blogs, plan fall planting schemes, and maybe order some plants by mail.

Or maybe just rest.

  1. Love your cloud shots! lovely and especially love the kitty shots. I'm very partial to felines. You have a pair of very contented looking cats.

  2. My Ming-a-ling is very seldom content these days so I have to snap his photo when I can. Thanks for visiting Deanne!

  3. I was just looking at a snapshot I took here about an hour ago, same cloud action you have 40-something miles south of me, thinking how the image looks so cool and refreshing... not brutally hot and humid like it really is.

    1. The forecasters keep saying that our current conditions resemble those in Miami but, never having been there, all I can say is: where's our dry heat?

  4. It's the same here - puffy clouds and hot, hot hot. :( Too hot to work outside for long. Your cats have the right idea!

    1. I've given up my morning exercise routine for the last week in order to spend coolest part of the day in the garden. Our night time temps have been in the 70s so even the early morning hours aren't all that pleasant for any strenuous activity. I'm looking forward to fall...

  5. Wish we had clouds like that, we had very few clouds today. No rain predicted for at least a week or so. Blue sky means hot!

    1. The clouds are pretty but they mean hot and muggy here. Sadly, we probably won't get any rain until November or later.
