Bouquet #6

Erin at the Impatient Gardener hosts a weekly Garden Appreciation Society event in which participants show bouquets comprised of picks from among the flowers currently blooming in their gardens.  Thus far, I've relied heavily on plants I have a lot of, particularly Agapanthus and Shasta daisies (Leucanthemum x superbum).  I still have a lot of both of those in my garden but, this week, I concocted a moodier bouquet.

Here's what's included:

  • Echinacea 'Magnus'
  • Rudbeckia 'Cherry Brandy'
  • Achillea millefolium
  • Origanum vulgare 'Kent Beauty'
  • Cuphea ignea 'Starfire Pink' (my standby filler)
  • Leucadendron salignum 'Chief' (filler)
  • Angelonia 'Angelmist Dark Pink' (filler)

The last 2 plants get lost in the arrangement, I think.  I probably should have just left them out.   I'd originally intended to focus on the Leucadendron and the Rudbeckia but itchy fingers took hold and soon I was clipping all sorts of things.

  1. Kris: Thanks for commenting and visiting! I can't email you by "Reply" as you are a "no-reply" blogger. D id you know that? You can change that in your settings (if you want to!).

  2. Lovely bouquet this week! Are the Rudbeckias the ones that look almost black? Wow, those are really striking.
    Take care!

  3. Oh wow ... look at that rudbeckia. That is a special flower! Just beautiful. Thanks for linking up!
