  1. I love that anemone, such a cool plant.

    1. I'd thought the Japanese anemone (Eriocapitella hupehensis) was dead and gone. It came with the garden but it's struggled in past years and, when it failed to show up at all until now, I assumed these recent heatwaves had finally wiped it out. The white rain lilies had shown up earlier in another area but this clump was also a late surprise, especially as I don't recall planting any of those bulbs there.

  2. Tempting to plant a Japanese anemone in my own garden, but I've heard how overly aggressive they are. I've been holding off. After seeing the rain lilies over at Gail's Piece of Eden, I bought one of my own for the front rock garden. We'll see how it works out.

    1. I've heard that Japanese anemones can be invasive but they've been anything but in my garden, Jerry. Our climates may account for the difference, though.

  3. So pretty, when I see rain lilies - I always think "I need more".
