In a Vase on Monday: Missing in action

I've been missing in action for several weeks due to medical issues but I'm on the road to recovery.  Many thanks for the good wishes and support I've received from the garden blogging community.  My blog posts are likely to remain short and few in number for a time yet but as always I enjoy reading what others have posted.

Here's one simple In a Vase on Monday post I managed to put together yesterday.

My yellow Leucospermums are still relatively abundant

Clockwise from the upper left: Abelia 'Kaleidoscope', Agonis flexuosa 'Nana', Alstroemeria 'Indian Summer', Leonotis leonurus, and Leucospermum 'High Gold'

Arrangement in place

I look forward to joining Cathy at Rambling in the Garden and the rest of the IAVOM crowd sharing a post now and again.

  6. Beautiful arrangement Kris, and it was fantastic to see your blog name pop up this morning. Best of all, this means you've been out in your garden, a healing place for sure... now don't over do it!

    1. I'm pacing myself, Loree - I still don't have much choice at this point. It's "interesting" what a brief blip in one's brain can do.

  7. This post made my day! Gathering flowers again says it all. I've often thought this past year how the gardens we've had such fun making become incredibly important in times of our need -- and I know your garden is speeding along your recovery.

    1. I missed a surprising number of flowers this spring but part of that had to do with that nasty heatwave we experienced in early March when I was stuck in rehab, Denise ;) I'm working to get my dahlia bulbs in gear now!

  8. Oh this is gloriously cheery and sunny, Kris , and must be a joy to have in person to admire close up. I am so pleased you are able to enjoy some aspects of your garden again, but I imagine it is slow going. My love and best wishes to you

    1. Thanks Cathy! It is indeed slow going. I keep hoping that the switch will turn back on at full power at some point but I'm not sure that's how I can expect things to work...

  9. Great to see you back, Kris and cheers to your ongoing recovery. The vase is beautiful, I love the happy colors and covet all of it - if only the humidity would go away! Ame.lia.

    1. Thanks Ame. The weather's been weird here too - a major heatwave in March, then rain in late April (if not a lot of it).

  12. Lovely to see a post from you Kris! I've missed your flowers and also your insight into current affairs in the news. Best not to dwell on the latter at the moment though as it won't be good for you! Beautiful glowing colours in your vase. Just being out in the garden and enjoying your flowers must be helping your recovery. Take care xxx

  13. I knew one of those Mondays I'll see a vase celebrating your re-entry to the blogosphere: its wonderful to have you back, Kris.
I'm partial to the overhead view today where the 'orange' practically glows. Plus I'm a fan of Leonotis leonurus. Lovely return to the IAVOM!

  23. I am so happy to see you posting again! Was Meeko happy to see you? As you say, step by step, as long as the majority of them are in the right direction. I could swear I saw science articles about how gardens and cat purrs are healing.
