Happy 4th of July!

Best wishes for a wonderful Independence Day!  Here's my version of safe and sane fireworks:

Phormium 'Dark Delight' and Hebe 'Wiri Blush'

Echinacea 'Cheyenne Spirit'

Amaranthus cruentus 'Hopi Red Dye'

Leucanthemum x superbum 'Snow Lady'

Argyranthemum frutescens

Agapanthus

Salvia 'Mystic Spires' and Borago officinalis

Eustoma grandiflorum "Borealis Blue'



And the finale:

Cuphea x ignea 'Starfire Pink'

    Let's rename Agapanthus "the fourth of July flower" because it looks like fireworks. I used to use it with scarlet geraniums and Shasta daisy for a centerpiece. Now I only have a white one and it works with the same geranium and spires of blue salvia. I went to look up what the name of the firework was and found out that fireworks are name after flowers rather than vice versa. http://www.fireworks.com/fireworks-university/fireworks-glossary/ You should have a nice display tomorrow night.     Gorgeous plants! I think my neighbors just finished with the second installation of their 4th of July celebration. At least I hope they have. I loke your fireworks better.

    I will take Echinacea fireworks over the explosive kind any day! I spent my 4th trying to coax the cat out from under the bed. : / That mix of Echinacea is so pretty. I have some of that same mix in a pot.
