    And while I'm at it, what are the red blooms in the background of photo two? More of your wine-colored zinnias?

      You guessed correctly, Chavli. Both Zinnia 'Benary's Giant Wine' and 'Queeny Red Lime' are putting on a great display. I'm hoping my other zinnias catch up eventually.

      I'm not yet convinced that the dahlias will be ready for cutting by Sunday when I prepare my vase for IAVOM but fingers are crossed ;)

    Oooo, pretty! I'm missing my Dahlias this summer. All my previous tubers petered out, and the new ones are struggling with bugs eating the foliage. I need more sun to be consistently successful with them, so I'll appreciate yours. :)

      Dahlias do like sun, as well as lots of water and fertilizer once they sprout!

      They've had nutrients and plenty of rain, so I think I'll blame the bugs (and lack of full sun) this summer. ;-)

      Maybe as soon as next Monday with Dahlia 'Mikayla Miranda'. 'Labyrinth' is taking its time opening its first flower and its other buds are still tight.
