  1. Ha! It certainly is, we just got back from visiting The Huntington Garden - the weather was all over the place. Rain, cold, humidity & heat. It surprised me, I always think of the area as more temperate.

    1. Online sources had predicted temperatures in the mid-70s here midweek but it climbed to almost 89F yesterday before shifting back into the mid-80s. Today's expected to be worse...

  2. We've cooled here with high's only in the 60's, but there's talk of 100F off in our not to distant future. Crazy temperature swings!

    1. There's a marine layer hanging over the Port of Los Angeles this morning but it's sunny and already on the warm side at our elevation. Not great for all the new plants I've recently installed. Highs in the 60s would be perfect. I usually get away with planting at least through May :(

  3. Heading for the low 90's here today so I'm doing some container watering and planning indoor chores for this afternoon . At least the Zinnias will be happy!

    1. Ugh! We were told that it was likely it was going to be a hotter than average summer but of course I hoped for better - I thought the low rainfall this year was punishment enough! So far, at least today's temperatures appear to be similar to yesterday's in the upper 80s.

  4. Your blooms are gorgeous Kris. We are chilly and rainy here in zone 7b with temperatures in the 50's today that felt like the 40's, which felt more like our seasons are going backwards! I have a feeling though that we will go right from cool to hot like we did last year. Happy gardening!

    1. I'd welcome some rain here, Lee! We're not likely to see rain again until November :(

  5. Looks like perfect temperatures for gardening. Not so here. Windy, rainy and cold. Won't complain. It's moisture.

    1. I'd be happy to trade you some of that warmth for the rain, Elaine!
