We get a great view of fireworks too and New Year's Eve is second only to our Independence Day for those displays. With all the other stuff happening I am especially grateful that we don't have to travel to spend Christmas with our sons. Small things. I do love those silver gates with the branching structure. Such a sweet memory to recall every Christmas.

What also caught my eye among your photos was the neighbor's custom gate that looked like a deciduous climbing rose--wow! Very cool!

And Covid marches on. :( My sister was exposed at a holiday party (no symptoms, all tests negative) and Alan was exposed at his company's holiday lunch (felt tired, slight cough for several days, all tests negative). With the work hours he keeps, how could he not be tired? Still wise to be cautious. Even if it is Just A Bad Cold, who wants a bad cold?

Hoover Boohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03083294821646284424noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8574540292918761182.post-25729930777461374962022-12-23T17:01:11.464-08:002022-12-23T17:01:11.464-08:00Thanks Beth. LA's weather is expected to be the polar opposite (pardon the pun) of that in Oregon and Washington, at least on Christmas day. Rain could arrive late Tuesday, which is good for us but may mess things up for people coming here to attend the Rose Parade on the first. It's good that you have power and heat - and that you didn't get stranded midway in an airport as so many people have.Kris Petersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07097260283693156795noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8574540292918761182.post-44517429023255548052022-12-23T11:44:01.615-08:002022-12-23T11:44:01.615-08:00Thanks Phillip. I'm sorry it impacted your Schweddy Ball Party, Anna. In contrast, weather forecasters are now saying LA could hit 80F on Christmas day! That's because the same ridge of high pressure air that prevents rain from the north from reaching us is also preventing the icy cold from doing so. So I guess that nasty ridge is finally doing us a favor ;) Rain is currently predicted for Tuesday/Wednesday so perhaps Mother Nature is throwing us another bone to start the new year.Kris Petersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07097260283693156795noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8574540292918761182.post-89664364613162217702022-12-23T10:22:20.230-08:002022-12-23T10:22:20.230-08:00I love your tree Kris, I think it's got just t...I love your tree Kris, I think it's got just the right amount of ornaments on it.
