Bees, butterflies and hummingbirds all love the plant and it blooms all year, at least once it recovers from its annual haircut. Oddly, while I often see the larger-flowered red-purple forms of Cuphea for sale locally (as well as the orange forms), I seldom see Cuphea 'Starfire Pink', a hybrid of C. ignea offered here.
