In the past, I've wondered if they're attracted to the juicy plants because they're seeking water but then the fountain's close by. Now that I've refilled the feeders, there's less attention to the Aeoniums but it hasn't entirely stopped.Kris Petersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07097260283693156795noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8574540292918761182.post-22410365722429851322022-01-14T06:30:26.302-08:002022-01-14T06:30:26.302-08:00I wonder if there are aphids that add to the sparr...I wonder if there are aphids that add to the sparrow's flower attraction? I've never thought of them as flower eaters, but more seed eaters. I knew I'd kick myself if it flew away before I could get a photo, hence the scurry to get a telephoto lens to photograph a fake crane!Kris Petersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07097260283693156795noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8574540292918761182.post-16960227975193131122022-01-13T10:04:51.154-08:002022-01-13T10:04:51.154-08:00Isn't it interesting how we can be sure we saw...Isn't it interesting how we can be sure we saw movement? As I have an exceptionally large number of Aeonium arboreum bloom stalks this year, I'm not really concerned. I just found the behavior odd as I haven't seen any other birds go after succulents like that.Kris Petersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07097260283693156795noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8574540292918761182.post-44719098750266424832022-01-12T11:09:14.811-08:002022-01-12T11:09:14.811-08:00Good shots of the sparrows eating their veggies!
